Our corporate vision
The
corporate vision of Pericom Group is to grow our businesses to
create value for our shareholders and consumers through safe,
reliable, efficient, and responsible delivery of energy savings
products and responsible consumption of services. This
strategy is underpinned by our commitment to developing strong and
valued relationships with our customers, vendors, suppliers and the
community in which we operate and to acting responsibly in managing
the environmental, economic and social risks associated with our
actions. Long-term sustainability is an integral component of our
overall business strategy.
Pericom at a glance
Beyond running a profitable operation, Pericom Group as a private
company, has focused on improving productivity and customer service,
at the same time reducing costs while continuing to make capital
investments to enhance the reliability of its operations. In Fiscal
Year 2007, the Company embarked on a comprehensive reliability
enhancement program in Singapore, with a training upgrade program
for all business units.

Corporate Governance
The
Board of Pericom is committed to instilling best corporate
governance practices throughout its operations. The Board of
Directors leads the governance effort through Pericom’s three
underlying principles: sustainable growth, profits with
responsibility and Investing in the future. The Platform
defines the principles by which the Company manages its businesses,
sets the context for corporate governance, and assists leadership in
taking into account economic, environmental and social factors in
our decision-making.
Strategy
and Analysis
Energy and climate change represent enormous challenges and
opportunities for Pericom and society. As such, the company is
taking action across its operations to make sure that the business
is sustainable and responsible. Toward that end, Pericom has
implemented a company-wide sustainability strategy aimed at
producing a low-carbon business model that reduces greenhouse gases,
promotes renewable energy, and supports regional Asian legislation
to cut greenhouse gas emissions in all sectors of the economy.
Work
Force Efficiency
Our
objective is to deliver services as efficiently as possible. This
allows us to maintain reasonable prices for our customers and
improve our financial performance to the benefit of our
shareholders. One way we are striving to be more efficient is by
integrating Pericom’s international operations around lines of
business and removing geographic boundaries.
Waste Minimization
As
part of its environmental activities, Pericom continues to be
committed to reducing the amount of solid waste generated, as well
as its consumption of fuel, paper, and other resources. Minimization
and proper management of waste generated and reuse or recycling of
waste materials is one of many principles defined in the Company’s
environmental policy. Waste minimization policies are communicated
to Pericom staff through training materials and informational and
educational articles. Internal audits of environmental practices at
Pericom facilities also ensure adherence to company policy and
procedures.
Energy Savings Framework
Pericom’s ENERGY STAR qualified products save you
money by reducing energy costs and helps protect the environment
without sacrificing features or performance. PERICOM is proud to
offer our customers products with the
ENERGY STAR label.
