TÜV SÜD PSB Corporation provides one-stop integrated solution to help businesses achieve business excellence through people, products and processes. Core of its business is the specialization in the training of human resources, product testing and certification, quality management, product and process improvement, and systems automation. The Testing Group within TÜV SÜD PSB Corporation provides telecommunications and telecoms test services such as ADSL testing, Bluetooth qualification testing, Product software testing, RF radiated immunity test, etc. These testing services provide performance testing and type approvals to give telecommunications products access to both Singapore and international markets.

The Challenge

With the growing importance of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), many companies are increasingly complying with EMC compliance regulations and sending their products for EMC tests. The number of customers seeking such services with the TÜV SÜD PSB Corporation’s Testing Group also increased over the years. Currently, its customers information are kept in a confidential job file  document folder which contain all the pertinent customer details such as delivery orders, purchase orders, payment terms, tests set up, test results, images, photos of equipments, operating manuals, email correspondence, etc.  To accommodate the growing volume of customers’ job file folders that was stored in another building, the Testing Group started looking for a documents scanner that will essentially serve to digitize their existing and new documents/ customers job files folders and to ease the workload of its multi function system.  When Pericom Imaging (S) Pte Ltd introduced AVISION AV220C2 document scanner to the Testing Group, they knew it was the right scanner for them.

The Solution

Using the Avision AV220C2 document scanner, staff members at Testing Group scan their documents at 70 images per minutes in duplex mode. The easy-to-use button scanner with a built in document feeder enables scanning tasks such as scanning multiple documents or odd sizes documents  and different types of document quality to be completed with a touch of  a button. Every single detail and whole image is captured and indexed accordingly.  The documents are then filed in the system, which replaces the physical use of warehouse space.
